What People's Say About Place

Absolutely fun local find! Food was delicious and so were our drinks. Hubby loves anything LOTRs. So he was very pleasantly surprised. Consists of amazing child friendly corners, plenty of seating. We had turkey “merry pippin” and lavender matcha. The “aragorn” and affogato. Both delicious and jams really made both sandwiches! Staff were very kind and attentive even as we sat down. We went during a snow storm week so it was an in between time and was moderately busy but found it very quiet even then compared to many cafes we’ve been too across the east coast! Our only “cons” were; -The only thing we wished was there was a “free book and trade” shelf so we can donate and exchange books. We were not aware books were to be bought which was a main pull for us and the location. -And the high top metal chairs to the front of the cafe were extremely uncomfortable. Our experience was still 5/5 despite

The coffee was why I went; it was ok. The plus side was that they had two options for gluten- and dairy-free baked goodies. Very friendly staff. Cool vibe that serves wine, Prosecco, beer on tap, and even ciders!

Been meaning to stop for lunch here for awhile. Great place with seating that is spread out even with some comfy chairs and couches. Menu has plenty of choices including coffee and brews. Just a relaxing experience in a hectic plaza.

Ah I had such high hopes for this place. It wasn’t bad at all just a few things that were disappointing. Firstly the good: great beer options on tap. Feels more like a place to go for beer. Wish they had more books. It doesn’t feel much like the bookstore it’s marketed as. Just a corner of bookshelves. Would have loved bookshelves around the place to give it a real atmosphere. My biggest gripe was with the tea. The “loose leaf” tea is not actually loose leaf. It comes in tea bags and is very expensive for what it is. As someone who drinks a lot of tea and who is used to ordering and getting real loose leaf tea this was incredibly disappointing. Felt massively overpriced. Lots of easy ways to rectify this. Would also have liked to see vegan options on the menu. Another reviewer pointed this out too. Very disappointed by that.

Beow's Books & Brews is a charming and cozy café with a great selection of coffee and beer. The atmosphere is peaceful and inviting, with beautiful green forest paintings that add a unique and calming touch to the space. I visited in the late afternoon after lunch hours had ended, but the staff was kind enough to accommodate my request and made a custom croissant sandwich based on my preferences. It was fresh, delicious, and exactly what I was looking for. The coffee was excellent—rich and well-brewed—and paired perfectly with the sandwich. Overall, the service was thoughtful, the setting was beautiful, and the food and drinks were top-notch. I’m looking forward to coming back again soon.

This place is so cute and I loved the Lord of the Rings themed menu! The Balrog was hot and delicious. I will definitely be back to try the coffee. Seemed like a great place to change up the WFH scene for myself, though I wish they had more options for soft seating.

I really do love this place and want to give them 5 stars. The location is perfect, the interior is warm and spacious, the staff are friendly/helpful, and the food and drinks are awesome. And I'm thrilled that they have been so successful! However... I come here weekly and over the past few visits I have not been able to find a place to sit. The dining room has become over-run by game groups (maybe Mahjong?). I counted 5 the last time I was there. Some of the game players are not even ordering drinks or food, and a couple groups took up 2 tables each (the second table for their coats and bags). It's a bit of a catch 22, right? We all want to go where it's popular and successful, but when it's to a fault and you have no place to sit, it's discouraging. I've seen quite a few others walk in and back out because it is so crowded. Potential solutions: limit game hours to specific times, limit the number of groups at any one time, require that tables be used by people, not to store coats and bags, and require that game participants be paying customers. Thank you for listening :)

Good Food and A Comfy Spot. Just a different spot to eat with great options of Books to Read! Highly Recommend! The Butternut Squash Soup was Scrumptious! Omg! Tasty and so good for the season.
